Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival & Kisama (Night 1: Kisama Heritage Village)

Early morning flight Delhi Dimapur (DMU). Aim for the earliest flight you can (arrivals morning).

Pick up at Dimapur Airport road transfer to Kisama / Kohima area (drive ≈ 1–2.5 hrs depending on route/traffic; DimapurKohima road ~60–75 km).

Day 2 Trek to Dzukou Valley (Night 2: Dzukou base camp)

Very early departure (before sunrise): drive from Kohima/Kisama to Viswema / Zakhama / Kigwema (common trail heads) — ~30–60 minutes from Kohima depending on village chosen. Many treks start via Viswema.

Stamped Moments

Trek: Viswema Dzukou Valley. Typical trek is moderate (roundtrip distance ~18–20 km depending on route) — plan 5–7 hours one-way including breaks for the route to base camp.

Overnight stay at Dzukou base camp (camping or basic homestay arrangements where available). Note: nights in valley are cold — warm sleeping gear required.

Day 3 Explore Dzukou, return to Kisama (Night 3: Kisama Heritage Village)

Morning: short walks in the valley (meadows, viewpoints). Start return trek mid/late morning so you reach the vehicle pick up by afternoon.

Drive back to Kohima proceed to Kisama to rejoin Hornbill events in the evening. Overnight Kisama (final Hornbill night).

Day 4 DEPARTURE

Early transfer from Kisama/Kohima to Dimapur Airport (approx 2–2.5 hours depending on traffic). Catch return flight Dimapur Delhi (midday / afternoon flight recommended).
